This section provides ideas of DVDs that raise issues around sex, particularly from a Christian perspective.

Film Rating/5
Cover
Saved - An unusual teen comedy set in a Christian high-school. The lead character Mary sacrifices her virginity to turn her gay boyfriend straight. The film was seen by some to be 'anti-Christian', but in reality most Christians will recognise much of the religiosity that the film targets, and may end up agreeing with the film's take on religious hypocrisy. Other Christians will be uneasy with the film's 'liberal values', although you really need to see the film and judge for yourself. With students, the discussion about whether Christians are 'really like that' is as interesting as talking about whether you can be gay and Christian, and whether rules about when you have sex are there to make you guilty or to help you.

For the Bible tells me so - This is a very important film, which may explain the 98% fresh rating at rottentomatoes. It is a documentary that focuses on five conservative Christian families confronted with issues around Homosexuality. This film may make you question your assumptions about what the Bible says about Homosexuality, but it is important to note that the film does not question the authority of the Bible at all. In fact, by looking at what the Bible really says about homosexuality, considering the context and the accuracy of translations, this film sheds light on what the Bible actually teaches.
