Learning Objectives
Students should learn:
  • about the religious and cultural laws – Halal and Kosher
  • why believers have special laws
  • about how the foods they eat may/may not have links with special events and/or occasions

Students:
  • explain 5 or more reasons why Jews and Muslims have food laws (3 of these to include religious reasons)
  • describe with factual detail rules/laws of behaviour
  • reflect on the importance of food to a festival and themselves
